Post-it-suchus

When I doodled the Australian Rex for Aaron's blog, I kind of went on a post-it binge, so here are the other dino post-its I doodled. Collect the whole set!

For those of you who take umbridge at this post's title: yes, Postosuchus here is a basal archosaur, not a proper dinosaur.

Happy Easter!
The Easter Bunny's job has gotten considerably easier over the years...

Remember, Chades Challenge XXIV: Scorpion Fist and the Bomb of Tomorrow is due this Friday. I hope everyone can contribute a design, I'd love to see what sort of hero or villain Scorpion Fist is!

The Daily Post-It

My buddy Aaron runs a sweet blog called The Daily Post-It where he chronicles recent events in post-it form. So I figured I'd contribute the latest in prehistoric news: paleontologists have discovered the first Australian tyrannosaur.

"You call that a Rex? Now THAT'S a Rex!"

He Man. He Angry Cyborg Man.

I love betting, but I also usually lose, so my favorite stakes for any wager is a drawing. If you win, you get an awesome piece of customized art, and if you lose, you get to draw! (Hopefully your friend doesn't force you to draw yourself in a humiliating position).

Here's a drawing I've owed Vi for quite a while. You can't be too upset about losing a bet when it means you get to draw He-Man fighting Trap Jaw.

So if you're low on cash, but you still love the thrill of a good wager, make a drawing bet!

Dino Art from Auction
The piece I came with:

And the piece I left with, by the always-astounding Matt Nolte:

The theme of the auction was pipe dreams. Dinosaurs dream of becoming birds, boys dream to have their own dinosaur, and I always dreamed of having my own Matt Nolte dino-drawing, so we all came out ahead!

Chades Challenge XXIII:
EVIL GUARDIA
NS

This is either a very, very late Chades entry or a very, very early Easter card to all my readers. While not particularly evil, my Easter egg guard is not to be taken lightly. Trained under rigorous conditions, Easter eggs master covert ops and are capable of hiding in any backyard or living room conditions.

For anyone knew to my blog, the Chades Challenge is a game where one person comes up with an adjective and another comes up with a noun. Put them together and you get fun, random drawing material!

The next Chades Challenge is going to be slightly different. We randomly paired an animal, body part, item, and concept to form the title of an awesome comic. So this week, we'll be designing the cover of issue one of:

SCORPION FIST AND THE BOMB OF TOMORROW!

Thanks to Vi for some of the random contribution for that one! Scorpion Fist makes his/her debut Friday, April 9th. I hope many of you contribute your own designs! Happy sketching, and go find them Easter Eggs!!

Gamers Will Save the World

TED (Technology, Entertainment, and Design) talks like this one are great sources of inspiration and challenging thought. If you dug what Ms. McGonigal had to say, I'd encourage you to check out these other outstanding lectures:

Even Ancienter Dinosaurs Discovered
If people are unsure about genetically resurrecting the dinosaurs, we could always test things out by bringing back a proto-dinosaur like Asilisaurus first. According to Science Daily, the freshly-discovered protosaur is the earliest known direct ancestor of dinosaurs, and he was golden retriever-sized, so he'd probably make a great pet!

Another Final Toy Story Poster!

Maybe I should stop calling each poster the "final" one.

I'd like to thank the Academy...

Yes, it's heavy. No, there's no chocolate inside.
