He Does Machines

Earlier today, I tweeted this quick sketch with the caption, "Taking napkin doodles to the next level!" with my childhood favorite ninja turtle, Donatello.

Little did I know Donatello himself, Rob Paulsen, would be digging the sketch hours later! The internet is a weird and awesome place.

Thanks to my pal Chris Chua for helping get the sketch out there!

Nom Nom Nom'd

Congrats to Minkyu and the rest of our fantastic crew! I had the pleasure of working on this beaut, and I told Minkyu the first time he pitched it to me that he'd be taking home the Oscar. An amazing film with a wonderful message. Can't wait to share Adam and Dog with the world!

The Imp & The Pimp, Part 1 of 10

Note: this story takes place during book/season two, A Clash of Kings. Minor spoiler alert for anyone who has yet to read the first book, or watch the first season. Enjoy!

Tyrion: "Ah, the Leaky Tankard In..."

Tyrion: "As fine a place as any for a lad's 16th nameday!"

Joffrey: "It looks abhorrent. And why must we wear these rags? It smells like someone died in mine"

Tyrion: "That is likely the case, nephew. But the rags must be worn."

Tyrion: "You're the King now..."

Tyrion: "...and the King must learn the ways of his subjects, the common man."

Joffrey: "And you believe I'll gain this education..."

Joffrey: "In a shit hole like this?"

Tyrion: "If not an education, at least a good roll in the hay."

 Dog: *Yipe!*

Next week: Two Lannisters walk into a bar

The Imp & the Pimp

Last year, I transitioned from animation to the story department. To do so, I had to prepare a portfolio and since I hadn't assembled a portfolio since school, I had to create some new material. Now, I think of writing as a free vacation that I can take to any place, any time, with any characters. So, naturally, I chose to visit Westeros with my two favorite characters: Joffrey and Tyrion Lannister.

I'll be sharing a segment of my boards every Wednesday, concluding March 13th on the Season Three premiere. Check back tomorrow for the first installment of...

Fantasy Football, College Edition: Notre Dame vs Alabama

At Christmas, I promised my cousin Jennifer and her husband (both Notre Dame grads) that I would do a special college edition of Fantasy Football to commemorate the team's first championship game since 1988. Little did we know, the drawing would also commemorate a total trouncing.

Apparently, the luck of the Irish can occasionally run dry.

Fantasy Football XX: Bengals vs Texans

Chuck Norris does not go hunting, because the word "hunt" infers the possibility of failure. No, Chuck Norris goes killing.

The Pop Pilgrim

Happy birthday to my good buddy, Everett Downing! His blog, 365 Supers, got a fantastic write-up in Wired this week, so I figured I'd contribute a portrait of his superhero persona for his birthday. Pop Pilgrim is a reference to Everett's penchant for finding a new favorite tv show or technology every week. He's on a constant pilgrimage through pop culture. Plus, he wears buckles on his shoes and hat.
