Boba Fett, Dr. Doom, Cobra Commander, Michael Myers, Blank, Sauron. Masked mystery villains are a staple of genre fiction. Is the character protecting their identity? Are they deformed? Do they need the mask to survive? And most importantly, what the heck is under there? Here are a few of my theories for the latest masked mystery villain, Bane.
Oh my good God, the second one... XD
Bwaaaa ha ha ha nice!
i vote for the first one!
the last one is Michael Shannon °_°
LOL!! Hahaha!!! :D I love the simpsons one.
This post is the most amazing thing ever!
I can't say I know what's under the mask, but I can say with some certainty that its not the third one, a chuck norris would not have been defeated!
Hahah these are perfect! I never even thought of what might be underneath, I suppose I like the mystery maybe.
And I wanted to say a big 'Thank you!' for posting that page about the AnimC and raising awareness. I signed up for Mike's class and flew into Emeryville last night. Had our first class today, and it was really amazing. This is my first time on the west coast, so I'm super excited to go exploring :)
Thanks again! I sincerely appreciate it, it's been such a great experience so far.
Austin thankyou for this! These are great!
The second one is from 'The Twlight Zone' episode, "The Eye of the Beholder"!
I had the same idea re: bane's face:
Trish- it's a parody of the Twilight Zone episode "Eye of the Beholder"
Flaviano- me, too. I think he's both scarred and obsessed with beating Batman. The last one is supposed to be Michael Jackson, but Michael Shannon works too!
Nikhita- thanks! I almost did Ranier Wolfcastle's McBane instead!
Aminder- thanks, I agree!
Deenaaa- I'm so glad! Michal says you're an awesome student, so congrats and good luck!
Zane- you're welcome!
Felipe- yes! Good catch!
I love the images of bane used in this poster. Austin, I was wondering if I could have your permission to include the image of Bane on our gym t shirt design? The following link shows our design.
Our workout team really likes the movie qoute as well as your Bane rendition. I'd be happy to add your signature to our shirts as well, actually I think that'd be a great idea. I believe permission can be granted via this email: firstname.lastname@example.org
And this reference number T2821600
Apologize the link above did not work.
Here is the link again:
