Camp Grizzly This Weekend at Kubla Con

THE SCARIEST BOARDGAME OF ALL TIME IS FINALLY HERE.

Camp Grizzly, the debut title of Ameritrash Games, is a horror/survival boardgame for 1-6 players. The objective is to survive a night at camp with a supernatural serial killer on the loose! If this appeals to you: first seek help, then seek us out this weekend at Kubla Con in the Hyatt Regency SFO where we'll be selling beta versions of the game!

Ameritrash is a partner of Zombiesmith Games, one of the sponsors of Kubla Con. My co-creator, Jason Topolski, and I will both be available at the Zombiesmith Games booth Saturday-Monday, running games, doing drawings, and generally indulging in all manners of mischief and debauchery!
Ameritrash Games can be round at AmeritrashGames.com and here on Facebook.

School's in Session!

You can only imagine the sort of "research" trips we had to do for this one!

A Very Miserables Musical

The latest poster for Pixar's improv troupe, The Improvibles.
I originally had Russell Crowe belting out a shattering melody note to the tagline, "Even worse than Russell Crowe." My wiser colleagues mentioned that RC might supply a voice for Pixar some day and that the more prudent path would be leaving the note intact.

I still think it's funnier the other way.

The Fart Knight Rises

Sure, The Avengers and Spider-man were fairly eagerly awaited. But there's one super hero finale that we've all been foaming at the mouth for: DICK FIGURES.

Tomorrow marks the season finale (and last episode ever) of the YouTube phenomenon Dick Figures. I will be making my return as Earl Gray, the dastardly ne'er-do-well with a penchant for the finer things in life (you can catch my previous episode on YouTube).

If you dig tomorrow's episode, you can stop by the Dick Figures Kickstarter and fund the feature film. If the project is funded, I'll be back for the third time as Earl Gray, and we all know great things come in threes! Okay, so do not-so-great Star Wars prequels.

Nerd of the Rings

Pixar's improv team, The Improvibles, is delving into the land of trolls, hobbits, and level eight gelatinous cubes tonight with our first Dungeons & Dragons show (the first of many, this bard hopes). What makes this show particularly special is our guest star, Brave director Mark Andrews!

One show to rule them all!

A Poster for Ariel

My friend Kai asked me to draw up a poster for a girl named Ariel who has been struggling with cancer. Kai's idea was to have Ariel's 'Avengers' (her favorite characters) assembled to support her. I'm glad Merida made the cut!

Here's Kai with the final poster. When I was a kid, I was always comforted by visuals of heroic figures like Superman and Luke Skywalker, so I hope this poster does the same for Ariel, who is as brave as any hero could hope to be!

Merida and the Frightening Forest

The Japanese may have an odd title for Brave (they call it Merida and the Frightening Forest), but they certainly have a kickass poster!

Change Your Fate

The new Brave poster is sporting some serious ginger pride. Watch out Cartman, she's coming for you.

Stay tuned, the new trailer debuts tomorrow!

The Emeryville Horror

At Pixar, no one can hear you scream...unfortunately, everyone can hear you sing.

Our theatre troupe, The Improvibles, is doing a horror musical this Friday. I know it's supposed to be an entirely improvized performance, but I'm already planning to launch into this song as our show closer.

Another Final Toy Story Poster!

Maybe I should stop calling each poster the "final" one.

"Where does he get those wonderful toys?"

The final Toy Story 3 poster was released today. In case any of you were expecting the same ol' same ol', here's fourteen new characters to prove otherwise (can anyone spot the Luxo ball?). Many of my favorite new toys were designed by the famed yeti-tracker (and my good pal), Nate Wragg. I actually snuck a background tertiary character design into the film, so I'm particularly excited! Can't say much more until June 18...well, I could but I'd have to kill you all, and that would be an awful lot of tracking to do.
